I doubt there's any special advantage just by virtue of working in a stat board. The only advantage I can think of is ease of checking up on your employment record, which won't be a deciding factor. It's normal. The payslip deduction confirms your company withheld the tax, but it takes some time for the transfer to process at IRAS. Once IRAS receives your tax payment and processes your Form IR21, they will typically release any excess amount withheld within 30 days.

imo 200k pay isnt a good offer compare to > 100k pay in Singapore.
US taxes are quite high, and California has another layer of state tax as well
If it's a good company which matches your career progression then go for it, otherwise I would stay at SG and grow my career here.

Well, the last two activities (receive renunciation letter and visit ICA) haven't been done yet as they're scheduled for the future, but I've got all the appointments sorted out, so everything should go according to plan.

Advice? Yes. Get a job with an MNC in Belgium that has offices in Singapore. Ask to be transferred to Singapore. That's the only way it's going to happen.

All that you need to submit will be written on the IPA letter. You will be unlucky only if you don't follow instructions of the letter.

There will be no new surprise documentation to submit during your appointment.

I beg to differ. He is already on a Family Ties PR, With spouse gaining SGC, He will still be on a Family Ties PR but the only real question is whether or not the expiry date will change. It's only an admnistrative question in reality.

You will have to keep logging into the site to see if there are any cancellation of slots and be ready to grab one. I'm sure there are some on the forum who have done this in the past (lots of them). I'm not sure of the time of the updating of the slots but I think it's sometime around midnight .....

It should be reissued as the same Family Ties, but as the spouse of a SG citizen. Shouldn't be an issue. However, I cannot answer if the REP will be issued with a new 5 year life or will be reissued with the same expiry date and then have to be renewed again for a new one (e.g., keeping the same .....

I would consider apply one more time as a family after your kid completes NS but before he turns 21, although it may not change anything. After that, there's no option but to apply separately.
