This thread is turning into a '3rd-espresso'/'Friday feeling' hybrid :)

I had one yesterday, whilst sitting out on the balcony watching the insane traffic below. / The greater the wealth disparity of a country the more having a $car is taken as licence to behave like a complete prick.

[This is in contrast to say developed western countries where having a flash car is a lovely thing for sure, but it doesn't somehow rewrite you a new version of the highway-code].

Not only that, we have two! :o
But do keep in mind that this isn't SG or anyway with similar land/$ pressure. At a guess I'd say our rent is about 1/3rd what we paid on the smaller place we last had in SG, i.e. probably less than what a '3-room'/2-bed SGn HDB in a zone2/3 location might be.
And now you mention it, and as I look out the window, I think it must be a local thing, since every flat I see within view, of perhaps hundreds, has at least one decent balcony... hmmm... I wonder if there is a provision of social housing here... haven't heard of such.

You know when someone asks you what the capital of say Canada is and you reply 'Montreal', or the US 'New York, duh!', or Australia 'Easy, Sydney!', New Zealand 'Auckland', Switzerland 'Geneva [sigh]'.

All the above at some point in life can be a given and later it's a surprise to progressively find that all of them are incorrect.
But this morning I had the pleasure of being bamboozled to the 2nd level! As enny fool knowz Geneva isn't the capital of Switzerland... that's easy, I know this one... it's Zurich!, ah ah ah, see got you there - ha! :-D

Except it's neither Geneva nor Zurich!!

Lol, should have put an irony tag on there PNG as you're !WRONG!

My first career job was a commodities clerk. Including doing the dox for bulk export of British sugar (like 500-2500MT at a time), incl by train to Switzerland esp the Swiss chocolate makers. That was 'Free on-board' Basel (railway) sidings. But for that I'm not sure I'd have heard of Basel...

So come on, how many of you knew Bern is the capital of Switzerland? Assuming most didn't then QED, i.e. that's my point. Strange eh.

He's actually putting up a good fight, surprisingly. Early on, I would have thought Hilary would've gotten the Democratic nomination by a landslide but Bern is actually coming in close, even winning some states.

Even if he doesn't get the nomination, he sure is putting up a good fight.

(Also, some Republicans are so aghast at the prospect of President Drumpf, I think they'd see voting Democrat as the lesser evil).

And everyone knows in Australia that Kalgoorlie is where it's at.

The capital of Switzerland should be wherever they make Victorinox Swiss Army knives.
