Buy one Lisa. Tells us how it works out. Steal your husband's CC and put down the deposit.

You have no idea how much I’d like to. Unfortunately (or I guess fortunately, in this case), we’re planning on moving back with our daughter for college later in the year (either that or have her go ahead before we joint her next year), so buying a new car is not an option right now. We do have a trusty Hyundai that has been serving us well. When we do settle down in the US, I’m absolutely planning on getting one. Perhaps I’ll let you know how it is then! Back when Teslas were first becoming a thing, I used to go on the US site and build my own dream Tesla. They weren’t available in SG back then do I could only dream. My favorite was always the Roadster (but not a practical family car).

So long as the batteries doesn’t cost and arm and a leg to replace. (And I heard it costs a pound of your flesh still, these days)
Whats the point of having the car, if the range becomes a fraction of what it’s intended to be, after a few years of repeated charging cycles.
Ask the hybrid owners. Battery packs need changing after a few years.

If I’m not mistaken Tesla does offer a pretty comprehensive servicing package as part of the warranty. Not sure how long the coverage lasts or if it includes battery replacement. Although at the end of the day, isn’t battery deterioration to be expected over time anyway?
