Very interesting @taxico. In my case I bought a 10 year old car with 5 year COE for 25k. Works out to about 420/month. Is that a better deal or what am I missing?

i hope you mean it’s got 5 years of COE left, not that the car had a 5 year COE renewal.

if it was just a 5 year renewal, the car has no real value beyond scrap and residual COE value as it MUST be de-registered by the end of that time.

people still buy them though. if the depreciation works for you, go wild!
