In Louisiana, at least back in the 70~80's when I was still there, A chauffer's license was also graded into 2 or 3 grades. Because I had a totally unlimited license the chauffer's license also allowed me to drive vehicles for hire to carry passengers, e.g. Taxis, Limo services or the next grade up, Buses. Not sure if buses had two different levels or not as I never drove a bus for hire (14 seaters vrs 60+ seaters) But it came with the unlimited license which was necessary for my work as a commercial diver when doing inland jobs and had to drive a prime mover with a 40' flatbed with compressors, recompression chambers, etc.. etc (Usually for big dam inspection jobs). Had the quals but never used for @ hire.

Hi, any fellow Indonesians can share experience on converting their Indonesian DL (SIM) to SDL?

I inspected my Indonesian DL, and it does not specify the first date of issuance. Some of the websites I researched for the conversion requirements mention that the Singapore Traffic Police would require some sort of supporting document to explain when we first obtained our foreign DL.

Any fellow Indonesians can direct me to how/where to get this? I dont think the SAMSAT/traffic police in Indonesia provide this type of statement.

Hi2 I got same question with the OP, how we can get the:

Extract of driving licence record if
foreign licence does not display first
issue date of licence

For ID driving license, there’s no issue date and our old DL I think we need to surrender to the TP when we renew that time.

Any Indonesian who successfully converted DL can share?
