It may have helped a wee bit, but I don't think it really had any bearing considering her age and the looming spinster issue I originally noted. The whole reason for the penchant toward Chinese is to keep the 75~77% demographic. Having Chinese based children is the whole reason for letting in Single Chinese women. However, since a single woman's fertility percentage starts to shift nearing 40 the interest from the government does as well. (same goes for Chinese men and fertility to impregnate with healthy sperm). You need to understand the reasoning behind the requirements instead of having that darned chip on your shoulder colouring everything to say. A single spinster of any race will ultimately become an additional drain on the medical system in the future.

Hello2, my PR formalities appointment would be on Monday morning. My documents checklist is:
- IPA Letter
- Passport
- EP
- Medical Report
- Photo
- Completed Form 6
- Completed Registration for IC form
- Completed EP152 form
- Birth Cert
- Education Cert

My question is:
1. Do we need to bring photocopy of passport, ep, birth cert, education cert, etc? Or original would suffice?
2. Do we need to bring salary slips?

1. Originals are sufficient. They will return the originals to you after looking through.

2. If this is not on the checklist, then no need to bring.

My wife's friend - spinster, 42 at the time, malaysian Chinese was granted a PR. This was about 2015 if I remember correctly. I never understood why though :/

we will never know whats the criteria. but one thing for sure malaysian chinese got high high high chance.

I got my NRIC number this morning. Thank you for all the help answering my queries.

Now, I just wanna recap my journey of PR application and I personally think, my case is a bit of outlier as u will see fully below:

I’m Chindo (ID passport)
Started working in SG (EP) in the 1st Nov 2022, Prior to SG, I was working in MY (EP) since 2019 (same company, internal transfer)
Submitted PR application on the 27th Nov 2023 (Salary submitted at 10.2K), at the time of submission my age is 35 (just turned 35 at the time) and single (not married)
IPA letter approved on the 7th May 2024
NRIC number issued on the 27th May 2024

Everyone in my circle (my auntie uncle cousins who already changed citizenship to Singaporean, my ID and MY colleagues and friends who already obtained SGPR) they all commented that my case is super fast, way faster than average cases and tbh I accounted that to the Grace of God to me

One of my church friend, Female Chindo 4yrs younger than me (salary range ~7k), she got rejected 2 times for her PR application. She got husband (Chindo on EP) and now she has 1yr Baby Girl, the thing is she applied alone, not apply together as couple that time. So yea it’s super random because I thought her chance of getting PR would be much higher than me.

Side note of totally irrelevant stuff but fun fact: my BF (SG Citizen) proposed to me in March 2024 and he book ROM appointment for mid July 2024. Prior coming to SG I never thought about marriage but after the 1st time I posted in this forum and that’s actually the 1st wake up call, that indeed I am getting old and need to settle down sooner than later (I want to have baby). Hence my part time job in SG was go on dates I suddenly was very busy LOL

I do wanna thank SMS on his post regarding his wife delivered 1st time at the age of 38 and 2nd at 42, personally it is very encouraging post to me 🥹

Anyway, moral of the story: I got very lucky with this PR application thing and I’m very grateful for it
