Correct, I have since found the newspaper article, just how authentic it is I don't know, nor do I know the outcome of the police investigation or even if there was one. Here's the link to the article;

Hey Plavt and BlancD...guess what
i came across this forum
http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=246387
Oasis are recruiting in Malaysia next weekend for two days 14 and 15th Oct. 2006.
The lobby, Crystal Crown Hotel in Petaling Jaya. 9am to 5pm.
Bring CV, Certificates and 2 passport photos. Ladies must wear officer attire with knee length dress.
What I know, is that it is open to Malaysians only.
Nice uniform looks similar to Emirates (khaki) pants and skirts with white shirt with a red (pattern) scarf tied at the neck.
Good Luck..girls and ladies.
I guess it is Oasis...not DragonAir

From the website....they dont have destination in Malaysia ....
Oasis is a new budget airline serving long haul flights......Its first flight will starts off at 25th October to London.....so i guess thats why they are recruiting cabin crew......... Thus, the destination are limited at the moment......
Their current fleet are operated and owned by SIA perviously...

This article is a little dated now but might be worth a read;

Airline's Website;
http://www.oasishongkong.com/gb/en/home.aspx
Note: This airline intends flying to Gatwick for which fares are always cheaper but no more inconvenient for getting to and from London

I agree with Calvink, just go and try if u are passionate with the job of cabin crew, well some of u may say would perfer MH & SQ since they are the national Airline... but why dun u just try others? at least u can gain more interview experiences, on the other hand, u can realise what CA is while u start online...work with diff nationality etc etc...
I think those I mention aldy equipped yourself for another airline's interview... chance of empolyment may get higher leh!

not that much ppl because its almost nearing closing time....
If we were selected we would be called up by the airline for the second round or Final round interview...at the end of the month.....
