25 g or more TBP. It serves the purpose so it seems to be the right weight.

However, as the pharmacist was working from a prescription, who am I to consider reporting my concern (I was more surprised than concerned TBH)?

you mean by people dying when they use illegal contraceptive pills ? And illegal abortion pills ???

You need to be clearer in your posts then. You did not mention anything previously to illegal or counterfeit drugs........

Wow-another post where I agree with MHB.

I also bring back a pharmacy in my suitcase, kids medicine, adults medicine, bandages/bandaids, vitamins, anything else that's more than twice or three times as expensive here. I have NEVER had anyone say anything--granted as a middle aged mom (UGH) I probably don't fit the criteria.

I alos do not bring in any narcotics or non-over the counter medication. It's all stuff I get at Wal-Mart clearly labeled and in the original containers. That way, IF there was a question I have the sealed boxes with dates and full ingredients list.

OTOH--I've never had a friend or relative stopped in SG with their medicines either. Maybe we all look too friendly?

Thanks for the info in the posts. I had no idea pills are more expensive than in Europe and am now in the process of "to take with us" lists.

Could you please advise on what to include, especially for the kids? I will buy a few more packs of ibuprophene, something for colds, tummy problems. Some antibiotics( there are some types you can buy without prescription here....)?

Any dietary/vitamin supplements are way more expensive in SG. Keep in mind though in SG you have to keep them in the fridge or they will rapidly degrade into powder or a sticky glob.

Antibiotics? GPs seem to prescribe them for whatever you go in for (what ever you go in for you will always be given four medications), and they never seemed to cost a lot.

My GP is very vary of prescribing an anti biotics


Of course .. nowadays I don't need to see the GP anymore .. but that's a different story ..

anyone know where to get sleeping pills such as zopiclone here in SG? do i need to see doctor for this drugs?

Yes.

You'll need to see a doctor--and the rules for prescribing such meds have very recently gotten a bit more difficult. All docs must input the NRIC/name and the dosage into a nation wide database. To stop patients from doctor hopping and getting more than they realistically need.

My neighborhood doc just put a new sign up saying he no longer carries the sleeping pills in his clinic. I guess he would give you the prescription and you'd have to fill it at Guardian or Watsons pharmacies--then they'll have to add you to the database.
