Whatsapp is also the best way for Creeps, desperate, spammers, tele marketers, insurance sales people and sundry to stalk someone, since, yes, get this, your number is exposed, and unlike other mediums, it's easier to really get on those, especially those FOBs, who are very trusting..

And true sure almost everybody who landed in Singapore thought Singapore is fairly clean with no scams but scams come in many forms.

On the other hand, if socialising is the real objective, options galore.. From the Friday Drinking Club and Eagles Gathering

If there's no ulterior motives, any thread can be used to form groups. And confidently you can setup meets

It's not necessary to provide personal phone no to strangers.

That's my 2 cents.

PS, did your attempts to form WA groups crash?

Again why whatsapp ? Unless you demand absolute loyalty from group members, which you can do once you have their private number.. What ails other forms of groups?

9 out of 10 WA groups are filled with jokes, spams and what nots. Maybe that is my fault..

Pick a date and ask responsive folks to turn up and have a meet up. Can be a coffee shop, La Pa Sat out Newton Circus. Or any area like Marina Barrage. Or something like that.

Or own time own target East Coast food centre.

There's no leader per se, other than a couple of guys who only PM females

You can take charge.

That's my 2 cents.
