why do malls here have such a lopsided ratio of shops for women:men? its almost 7:3

um, because shops would go bust if they catered to men? It's women who keep the economy going!

We understand things like Sale, fashion, retail therapy, putting together a look, re-decorating, and did I mention Sale?

Besides, we probably shop for half the men's stuff anyway ( socks, tees, *cough* underwear *cough*, toiletries etc. etc. ).

actually men like sales too, its just that there isn't something that warrants a purchase most of the time.. or its way to expensive and that puts men off but somehow that doesn't put women off

I always thought "A man will gladly pay double the price for what he needs, a woman will happily pay half the price for what she doesn't".

I would pay half the price for something I need and I would expect people to pay me money to buy things I don't need

I will pay double for what I want, for eg I've paid double to watch a football game or a concert or say to buy a collectible CD or even flight tickets sometimes, but umm I see a pair of jeans costing 160$ no way...
or a phone costing 1000$, i'll probably will wait until the price goes down.
