Yes it has been a year. I did not receive any letter informing me of a delay in processing but ICA did contact me in June 2020 to request for CV of family, which I provided. Since then, haven't heard any update.

It may seem like a long time, but with COVID expect a delay and also the election result probably means reviews are slowing.

Understand and thanks for the feedback. Would reaching out to ICA for a status update have any negative impact?

that means they are still processing. atleast you know that they are reviewing it. for me i havent heard anything since dec 2019.
please update if you receive the outcome ok. wish you luck.

my husband applied for citizenship and did reach out to ICA via email to check if they are processing since there was no news for a year. They informed that they are still processing. after 18months and got approved. i guess its not wrong to just ask politely to tell them that you are just checking that they are reviewing. just dont sound to pushy and desperate.

Do not request for an update!!! plz wait patiently, we requested for update, and got a rejection exactly a week later! Not sure if this request was the reason for rejection, but I think if you can wait, then plz do so patiently.
