Hey theres, you PM-ed me regarding the Tokai clinic accomodation. For everyones benefit, here is some information. I would highly recommend "Sananwan Palace" as a budget hotel, about 20 sgd per night, and very clean hygienic, safe and with internet access. =) They also converse in good english, and you can easily arrange accomdoation or taxi transfer to the airport and from the airport. Do be careful of the food though, most of the time its okay but the last time I went I suspect it led to me having slight stomachache. Which resulted in me having to subsist on just bread and other stuff daily from the supermarket, oh, and lots of fast food, gosh.

I'm not too sure what kind of implant, I think its an I-shaped. Dr Pat used I-shape and did tip refining, thats all.

Hi Boii18 I'm really interested to get a tip plasty job there.... Just checking with you how was the scarring at the base of your nose as I know you need open rhino for tip plasty...

Thinking of going there next year maybe jan or feb for the surgery.... Thinking of zygoma reduction too... Have to consider as its a more complicated surgery... Based onyour experience does Dr Pat have the skills to perform these procedures? Thanks

boii18, if it's an I-shaped implant, then your tip projection is really good! your tip is actually considered to be quite sharp, therefore initially i thought you prolly just refined your tip and used an L-shaped implant to project the tip. if it's an I-shaped implant, it's a plus! cos i am leaning towards an I-implant if not autologous, L implant is sort of out for me cause of the higher risks it brings. thanks for sharing and again, nice nose! your bridge is perfectly nice already, don't have to change to higher bridge!

Can I ask those who have done PS at tokai, will the doctor require us to send a deposit of USD$200 to his paypal account first?

So does tokai clinic do tip refinement and alar?Do they use ear cartilage for tip? I think ive given up on taiwan as i dont speak chinese Also want to do buccal fat removal. How skilled are thai surgeons, am only put off going there because of the really cheap prices, I havent researched much on thailand so my opinion is bias and would like someone to correct me wrong ......

You will probably face similar problems if you go to Thailand. Not many people speak English either... The level of English comprehension is probably about the same.

I've been to Thailand before travelling with a friend for a month and we didnt have any problems getting around infact am quite comfortable with the place. I think id struggle alot less in Thailand than Taiwan. And I think the staff in Tokai clinic speak english?

Well, then if you have no qualms about Thailand then you shouldn't be so worried about Taiwan. Like I said, it is about the same. In both countries same thing applies: city=more people who speak English, rural=less people who does, young people=most have a basic level because of school (and remember that they might have learnt English but they don't really practice so their understanding on paper is much better than spoken. Bring a notepad around to write down questions and get answers back. And approach young people in general for a better chance), old people=little chance of them being proficient

But most importantly I guess you have to feel comfortable with your choice ^_^ Good luck!

Still puzzles me somewhat why people would risk going to countries where communication would be a problem. Is it all about the costs?

i guess skills and experience play a part as well. in terms of PS for asians, thailand, taiwan, korea are the 3 places most ppl will flock to, so their wealth of skill and experience is much desired

anyone did lipo at tokai before?

i did lipo 9 months ago and now the scars are still there. about 1 cm length for each scar and there are 4 of them.. very ugly! anyone know how can i remove them?
