I'm male in mid 40's in good fitness level and have some background in kick boxing while doing my degree way back hmm... 20 years ago. I have my own boxing mitts and pads and was thinking of joining one of the Muay thai gyms here until I found this forum. If sharing and communal Fitness activity is the objective I'm in.

Happy Saturday

I have a background in muaythai and have trained my friends in army before.
There are several ways we can go about training.
The most common way would be to start with warm up and stretching, then we'd start our first set and have everyone pair up to take turns holding pads for each other.
We'd then commence with a standard drill, e.g. 50 straights, 50 jabs, 20 kicks. Then we'd switch, the pad holder will do the drill. After that, we'd do 2-3 minutes of cardio, pushups and situps. This is 1 set.
We'd usually take 5-10 mins break in between sets.
After the break, we'd do a 2nd set.
We'd conclude the session with 3 rounds of 3 mins light sparring with the moves we learnt from the drills, and a brief cool down after that.
Feel free to contact me @
[email protected], i;d be happy to help out

Hello, all,
Let's finalize first who can come to train on tuesday so we can figure out where we can do it. GND's place would only be able to hold six people, by my estimate of people's ranges.
Then from this list, anyone who has background in training can take turns sharing what they know. Standard training has always been warm-up, stretching, drills, sparring (optional--some people may not be ready for this yet), cool down. The stretching will depend on what drills will be done.
A show of hands, please.
