i haven't taken any pictures at all... haha for the same reason, cuz i'm not photogenic either! so kinda having a phobia moment now. lol

By the way, I was thinking, do I mention that someone that I know of (a close one to me) is in Emirates, and that's one of the reasons why I reckon that Emirates is a great organisation to work in? Or is it not good to mention cause they might be thinking you're trying to pull strings?
Hi! I went once for and OPEN Day interview for Emirates in 2006 but alas didn't get through. From my experience you do not need a cover letter, this was the instructions i received from sassatlantic when i applied online:
Take note that you should be in smart and casual attire and during you application you are required to provide
§ an updated CV ;
§ a passport size photograph;
§ and a full length (head to toe, against a plain background) photograph

Are you trying again this time? You should!! You might get lucky heehee! I've heard there are 200ish people on the open day itself, is that true? That's many many!
