Are you looking for expensive Espresso-based drinks, or just normal "coffee"? I assume the former. Try this list:

I personally like Chye Seng Huat, Forty Hands, and Penny University. It really depends on where you're located though. There's also another thread all about coffee.

'Good coffee' is an oxymoron.

It's all a gimmick, over-priced, something that's made to look cool and that you should make a regular activity even though in the end it's all... plain rubbish. :)

Thanks for being a douchebag, you're completely irrelevant and worthless comment has been noted. We'll be sure to troll your threads about airline miles, credit card deals, and wines with inane comments also. :)

I haven't had any of the hip and happening coffees, but gauging from the few sips I stole from my girlfriend's ones, they're mostly long on sugar and short on flavor.

Whilst in Anambas last month, I had a few coffees from a few places there that - without exception - were fan-freakin-tastic. Thick body and dark flavor, almost smokey. Served scalding hot, in a small cup, yet with enough kick to feel it in your veins for hours - best coffee I had in yonks.

Aster - how are you and where have you been hiding?!

(but your coffee comment is utter bollocks!)

I guess it all depends on what a coffee is to you. Espresso? long black? with milk? sugar? Location you are at?

I like mine black and double espresso! hah

Anyway, there are plenty of cafes to look out for; such as

1. My awesome cafe
2. The LOKAL
3. Strangers Reunion
4. Habitat Coffee
5. 40 Hands
6. Department of Caffeine

Plenty more....

Try walking around Tiong Bahru. There are a few cafes there and quite chilled out. or check out some blogs. You will find some helpful tips there too :)
