Hi, anyone wearing smart watches? care to share your experiences? i was just wondering about them

Battery life is decent. could last for 8 -12 hours depending on use...then need to charge just like a phone.

I got the adidas smart run...so far i'm happy...but there are lots of smart watches out there..
- samsung
- sunto
- nike
- garmin
- polar
- tom tom

Just google out the reviews and see what watch fits your "needs".

Google Wear is very promising given the strengths and utility of Google Now and Android's notification system. One of the technology's goals is to keep you from constantly taking out your phone and also providing you just the info you need, when you need it.* Although Samsung LG came out with the initial watches, a lot of people are waiting for the Moto 360. If you'll note, most smartwatches right now are square; the 360 is circular and looks like an actual watch.

Then Apple will release the iWatch and people would act as if it's the first smartwatch (not a criticism on Apple's part but the blind fanboyism of naive consumers and attention-hungry press. FWIW, it's also happening now too with Samsung).

*why the hell would you want to type instant messages/SMS or write a status update/post/tweet on your watch?

Personally I 'd appreciate smart watches having gps/sports functions than any social media enabled functions.
I can imagine someone waiting at the traffic signal wanting to tweet a hurried message to someone without having to whip out his smart phone, seems rather silly, while getting a notification/sms on a smart watch may not be a bad idea, the act of input via touch is difficult, speech input is more easier.

can you imagine hordes of people with their wrists glued to their faces?
I can see that happening in Singapore.
