Going back to DP from PEP

Looking for some advice from the knowledgeable folks out here.

I came to SG 5+ year ago on EP with my wife and kids on DP. I got a PEP somewhere along the way and still on PEP and working. During this time my wife got a job, switched to EP, applied to PEP later - got that too...now in Feb this year, she lost her job and hasn't managed to find another one and the 6 month time window for that is coming to end soon. So she needs to get back to a DP under my PEP.

Anyone familiar with this process? Does she need to cancel her PEP first or do I need to get her DP first?

Think about it: if you cancel the PEP first, she will have no valid visa except a 1-month SVP (I think).

Apply for the DP first.

What Angmoh said. Apply for the DP. If/when she gets an IPA for the DP, then you cancel the PEP and go down to MOM and get the DP.

You definitely want to apply DP first. I went through a similar exercise just recently. The DP processing(for PEP holder) takes 5 weeks plus another 7 work days just to get the IPA letter in your mailbox. So the 30 day SVP following EP cancellation is not enough. Good luck.
