Advice on taking up PR

Hi
I am British citizen planning to relocate to Singapore later this year from UK. Looking to stay there for the next few years.
I am considering taking up PR. I have a 13yr old son who will be moving with me. What would happen if I take up PR, can he not take up PR? what are the options. I donot want to restrict his options when he reaches 18 and tie him to the NS requirement. Are there any exemptions?

How do you plan to get this PR? Unless your are filthy rich and famous the way of getting this status typically takes some time and it is definitely good to spend this time living in Singapore before making such decision (to apply).

Lay out the situation/circumstances in more detail. As it is it just sounds like some kind of trolling.

IN all fairness, if you take up PR under the PTS scheme then your son will be liable for NS. If you truly want to make Singapore your home, then you take the rough with the smooth.
If you don't want to do that, you shouldn't be taking up PR...

Good luck applying for PR successfully these days. We've been here 8 years, husband works for local bank, we applied for both children (one boy) and were denied just a few months ago. It's quite difficult now as opposed to a few years ago...

Yes, it is much better to not to apply him PR since he might get considered for NS here especially if you are planning to let him study here for college.
