Be sure that the person you are hiring is a Singapore citizen or PR... no one else can legally provide part time maid services to you.

Strong Eagle, its amazing, its been such a long time you left SG, still you are so uptodate with SG happenings and this forum. The day I leave Singapore, it will be a case of out of sight out of mind. I told this to ZZM before, if you do not severe ties with a place it will pull you back right in

I'd like to get back, Wd40... I really liked living in Singapore from many perspectives. And given that I am now in the middle of tea party Texas I definitely like to contrast how Singapore handles immigration and multiple other issues as compared to the tea party yahoos.
Probably won't get back soon... too many other places in the world that I have yet to see.

I stayed posting here during my previous 3yrs 'out country'. [Despite some amusing stick from Uncle you-know-who

]. I suppose your knowledge has a shelf-life, but much remains worth sharing.
There's leaving and leaving. First time I left I didn't envisage the 2nd stint. Neither do I now on this 3rd stint. In that way you never really leave. I'm not planning on a 4th stint, but I don't kid myself that it's somehow impossible whether you positively wish it or not.
When I get on the plane in 3mos, should I stop posting that day? Is everything I know about this place immediately invalidated?
