Taxis with a baby

Everyone says you don't need a car in singapore as public transport is widely available however how/can you travel in a taxi with a 5 month old?? What about a car seat??

You either bring your own car seat or don't use one. (Or get your own car so you don't have to worry about it at all.)

So basically you're not going to be able to get a taxi down to the shops as obviously you can't carry a babyseat shopping!?
Is it legal for a child to travel in a taxi without a babyseat?

It is legal to travel in taxis with 5 mo bb.
