Looking for Housemates

Hi all,
Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but it seems the best (hopefully my housemates could also be my friends).
I'm Joe, and I'm an American who just moved to Singapore from Australia a couple weeks ago and recently had my Working Holiday Pass approved, so now I'm looking for a place to live for the next six months. At the moment I'm living out of a hostel (it's kind of awful), and I'd like to move into an apartment or something. I've been trying all sorts of websites, but Singapore doesn't seem to have anything like Flatmates or Gumtree that I used living in Oz.
So, is anyone here looking for a housemate? Or have a recommendation for how to find a place?
