Hey Folks

I am evaluating an offer that will move me from USA to Singapore that will pay me close to $200,000SGD a year. However I have been reading that indian origin folks are having a tough time getting a PR.

I am wondering if anyone has an idea how my application will be treated? I am born in India but I have a Canadian passport/citizenship. Will i be rejected because I am Indian or will I be treated as a Canadian. Any thoughts /comments are appreciated ?

You've got some time ahead to worry about it. No point even really applying until you've been here 3 years. You'll be treated as a Indian which is good and bad (good because the race ratio is higher but bad because there's a billion of you trying to get PR somewhere).

How willing are you to give up Canadian passport? PR is seen as/ meant to be a step on the way to becoming a citizen
