Would be grateful for any help... as well as if anyone knows the local name or other name for Pacific Cod??

This is not the Black Cod widely sold in supermarkets which are actually sablefish and has no relation to cod.

you can by atlantic cod at the japanese fish market in the basement of great world city. The black cod sold here locally is chilean seabass also know as patagonian tooth fish
