He said by receiving 2 red packets from both his mum and dad would mean they are expecting us to get married. Is this true? Cos I asked my Chinese friend (from China), and she said she has never heard of anything like this before. Please enlighten me!

2 red packets probably doesn't mean anything much. some people give 2 packets just to make u feel happy.

Normally only the new weds give 2 red packet on their first year of CNY. though it is say to be so. But not everyone does that.

In my family, there's no such thing. It's just a casual thing in our family. No one will be expecting who to get married if receive 2 red packets from both mother and father.
