Yeah, but is it more fun to drive? Your article insinuates that today's learning drivers are next to two left footed drivers as it says it has a steep learning curve. I feel sorry for the person who finds that to be true. They would have to be loafer wearers as they probably couldn't tie their own shoelaces, either.

In general, an automatic car might be better suited to those who are used to urban driving. If nothing else, not having to press the clutch on and off continuously will lessen driver fatigue.

If you travel longer distances or are used to driving on faster roads, a manual car could be a better option. Having better control over the gear selection means you can drive more efficiently.

Except nowadays you have Manual-mode on automatic transmissions.

There's no clutch though. Using a clutch to double clutch down gear on a non syncho gearbox can be the high light of a good drive - esp if done by an attractive woman.

Manual Transmission is about driving and fun. Full Stop.

Got a manual license recently. Still trying to brainwash myself into thinking driving's fun. Contemplating making a switch to horse.
