DP pending

Hi everyone!
My husband who is holding an EP has applied a DP for me through his company and it has been 5 weeks and it's still pending. I am getting a bit worried as most DP holders I know got theirs only within 1-2 weeks after applying.
We meet all the criteria for him to get me a DP so I don't know what is taking them so long to approve it. We got married on the first week of August and applied for my DP the week after. Is that too soon to apply or the date of us being married does not matter for the application?
Anyone can share me their experience in getting their DP approved and how long it took for you guys?

The years you worked for SQ (I'm assuming you mean the SIA) based on your post of 2013 - What was your Immigration Status while working with SIA? Were you on an employment pass of some sort or because you were in and out of Singapore, you just stayed here on a Social Visit Pass when ever you returned here? (I used to work in the offshore oil industry so I understand how it works - I lived here 11 years on a SVP).
So, to keep the back and forth to a minimum, the way I see it. You husband was already here on an EP. If you were here for the past 6 years on an SVP, there is a remote possibility that MOM/ICA may look at it as a marriage of convenience (if you were married in Singapore) as a means of remaining in Singapore without being employed (e.g., SIA). That might explain the longer waiting time. I'm just reaching here but having been down that road myself a long time ago, I know it has/does happen.

I had s pass whilst working for SIA and have resigned first week of July. So they cancelled my S pass in July. Does that affect my DP application? I’m so worried now

It shouldn't in a perfect world, but MOM has it's own thought processes which we are able to see. At this point just wait it out. Granted, you may have to return home for a couple of weeks if it passes your SVP expiration date. Whatever you do, do NOT overstay. If you have to return to your family home for a while, your husband will have to understand the situation. It will probably all turn out all right, but always have a Plan B.
