Working professional usually busy with work but appreciate hanging out with like-minded individuals occasionally. And it would be cool if we can potentially be flatmates.

I can see the OPs frustration with this. He's probably an excellent candidate for citizenship and the fact he's working overseas is almost immaterial if he plans to return to work later on
