Carrying Desktop Computer into Singapore

Hi ,
I would be relocating to Singapore and would like to carry my Desktop computer as a checkin luggage. Wanted to know if this would be fine at the customs?

Sure, no problem, but if you carry it in checked-in luggage, be sure you declare it as a personal computer else you could find yourself paying duty on it. (not likely, but possible, a lot depending on where you are from and how prevalent that kind of behaviour is from visitors from your country. Most European countries have no issues, but some S/S.E. Asian countries have histories of that kind of behaviours. Just be sure to declare it when you enter and you should be good. I'm not aware if they require a startup here or not, like the US often does.

In general, you can bring a desktop computer as checkin baggage, even on international flights, but there is a risk of damage you should consider.

I checked the Customs site and it doesn't mention the necessity of making a declaration unless it it for resale in Singapore. e.g., if personal (meaning is being currently used by you), then shouldn't need to declare it. Sorry. it's been a long time since I entered Singapore as a tourist and some things have changed thanks to technology.
