I have been training with Joe (98511330). He's EXCELLENT!

A personal trainer is good esp for people who needs that extra push to get off their butts, and be disciplined and motivated.

Once you've gotten into a routine workout schedule with a personal trainer, you'll get into the habit of working out on your own, and that's a very good thing!

Have been working with a company called Absolute Living, they have the most awesome trainers and great Fitness products.

I would strongly recommend them for any kind of Personal Training program as they have delievered fantastic results for my friends and myself.

You should be able to reach them at 63417262.

On a personal level, I strongly believe that one can benefit much from personal training, especially if you're a beginner. Then again, some people may say that my opinion is biased as I'm a trainer myself ;) You should get opinions from those who have experienced being a client of a trainer.

But you should be careful if you're in the market for a trainer, as there are many self proclaimed trainers who are not certified, OR they are certified by unknown certification bodies with 'glamorous fitness company names'. Also, while in house certification gives a trainer basic knowledge of how to be a trainer, I dont feel that it's sufficient.

Gyms usually have trainers with varying abilities and certifications, so do your window shopping and research first. There are also independent trainers in the market - they are usually better in terms of certification and experience (which is why they can 'survive' or thrive working alone instead of being tied up with corporate red tape). Best of all, they travel to your location ;)

Hope that helps. Lemme know if you want more details.

Cheers

I've had the experience of working out with a trainer and it has totally changed my outlook about exercising and fitness, once an exercise phobic, now a gym buff! Having a personal trainer is good if u're a beginner in working out and u'll learn a lot more about fitness and health. You'll also learn more about your body and safety during working out and knowing what you are doing, not just working out for the heck of it. It helps to prevent injuries. Apart from that, your trainer will help you in nutrition as well, as proper nutrition and a proper diet is essential in losing and maintaining weight. Best of all, your trainer gets ur arse working when you feel lazy and just aaaarrrgghhhh-just-wanna-bum-around mood! So, a committed trainer actually helps to motivate you... the end result: A toned sexy bod for the ladies and a woooo-hoooo pumpin' bod for the guys! ;)
