It also has to be less than 72 hours old on arrival and you also have to have sufficient insurance coverage (provable the Covid-19 is also covered) before entry is allowed. As the insurance notice has that in quotes, it would appear that it would be sufficient if issued by a certified doctor.

- surely this request is illogical?
"(2) Health insurance/health insurance policy that shows minimum medical coverage of 100,000 USD in Thailand and covers the Covid-19 Disease"
- again ill considered demand; Covid-19 Disease is not insurable at present

Regarding the Insurance, it's not illogical if you are trying to close the border. I'm not Thai. This is their way of closing the border it would seem.

I still maintain a deeply flawed statement. It should read "has been tested and found to be negative".

You're expecting statements from the Thai government to make sense?
This is the same government that has a junior minister who was convicted and served jail time for importing heroin into Australia yet this does not disqualify him from being an MP as "The reference to a court order from another country is not applicable to the Thai government"
As SMS says this is Thailand's way of closing their borders without losing face and officially closing their borders.
PS: in case you think I'm somehow prejudiced against Thailand, my wife is Thai and I can't repeat some of the stuff she says about the assclowns in charge over there.
