How was everyone's CB day 1? Hope everyone is well rested at home.

Sinkies aren't playing their part. Too many people around, cars parked in quiet streets with groups meeting, everyone who hasn't jogged for 20 years has decided to do it again. The Gahmen will slap this shite down unfortunately which means even tighter control.

More people than usual in East Coast Park for that time of the morning. Most people keeping their distance and no groups.

That's what I heard, that parks are packed. These people seem brainless. They just don't get it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the numbers don't go up this month.

However, there another batch of 224 people returning to Singapore from Egypt...opss..the figures..?

The problem is choke points (door ways, gates, lifts, passage ways, narrow paths) and touch points (buttons, handles, knobs) for those going to and from those parks. There is also in particular a problem with smaller enclosed spaces (lifts, toilets) where aerosolization is an issue. Paris is now banning all daylight exercise as I suspect they are seeing cases from very casual contact in the above scenarios.

100:1 says we will see similar bans in Singapore in a week.

I go hill walking in the early morning at the Southern Ridges park connector. I'm always back home by 8.30. So far no issues with crowds of people at that hour.

Looks like so many of them treating this CB as a holiday!

My CB day is like the day before as I have been working from home for 4 weeks already. I usually do some brisk walking or jogging around our block but I have stopped for now.

Early morning is a good time. Singaporean's don't get out of bed too early.

I think for a lot of people it is a holiday. I'm into my 3rd week working from home so I value my early morning walk, but crowds since CB are much bigger and I'm out before 7. I'm hoping the novelty will wear off in a day or two.

Struggling and bored...

Same observations. The small park connector which runs along Haig Road has been at 3-4x as many people as normal. It's a narrow PC, maybe 4-5m wide with walls on either side for half of it, so people were definitely not 1m+ apart.

The upside is that cycling is great, little traffic. Really enjoyed my trip to supermarket this morning. Shame they were sold out of the only thing i was going for.

Might try the park later, avoiding for now because I'm assuming it will be crowded.
