2 of my friends received their EP, both around 2 weeks, applied in near end of July.
1 is retrenched and joining new company (WP to EP).
1 is converting from external vendor staff to internal staff, EP to EP but different company names.
Both are staying in SG.

I have been waiting for my EP to be approved since almost a month now. My employer applied for me, but not sure exactly when that happened I think early Aug. I'm outside singapore.
From Mom website I read this
"While we are progressively re-opening our borders, approvals for any new applications are still limited.
You may continue to apply passes for foreigners who are already in Singapore."
Does that means they are not approving EP for people outside Sg? You have to be there to get a visa?

I think the bigger question now is what field / industry are you in. How many years of experience you have under your belt, your age, your education/qualification, and the salary put forward in your EP application.

If you have not read it anywhere, you may want to check this out

Yes, thanks for your reply. I read that, my salary is above the requirements. I will work in cancer research. I have a Phd and 2 years of work experience.

Ok, that’s not a role that a truest or bluest Singaporean dare to claim that any Singaporean can fill easily.

So you’ll just have to wait. I think maybe the background check is taking time to verify your PhD and work experience.

I've been waiting for almost three weeks now for mine, and although the website says you should get a reply within three weeks, I have seen several cases (through Facebook groups) of new EPs accepted in about 2 weeks even in non-essential services and outside Singapore. So yes, they are approving new EPs, but I guess it depends on the salary, the company and the type of position.

Do they do a background check apart from checking the uploaded documents? I already had to have my degree verified by Dataflow since my university was not in the list of universities available when applying for EP.

We applied for my husband’s EP on 22Jul. Received communication from MoM for additional information which was provided on 25 Aug. Status still shows pending. We are in the US.

When did you hear back from them? Just a bit before the 25th?

What was the additional information that was requested ? Sometimes the application gets randomly picked up for vetting and in that case the processing time is slightly longer than normal processing time

Mine is going to be 3 weeks under processing tomorrow. The agency checked yesterday and it was still ongoing. Waiting for an update this week hopefully...

I am still waiting.
Now it is 8 weeks since I submitted my documentations to HR, and more than 5 weeks since they requested to submit an higher quality picture of my passport.
I heard that other people got their EP approved in 3 weeks.
Does anyone know how to find out what's the reason of such delay?
