My daughter is a bit over 1 year old and has been going to infant care at AIS. I thought this was a good idea because AIS is on the way to work, but what with COVID we're all working from home and I'm burning 2+ hours every day (1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon) driving baby to and from school.

Our lease is coming up for renewal in mid 2021 so I figure I should try to find a place close to school; unfortunately the area around AIS (Lorong Chuan/Braddell Heights) is very spendy.

Any suggestions on a school with reasonable private housing nearby? I thought Pasir Ris would be a good option (near OFS) but then read the poor reviews of OFS on this forum.

AIS is within walking distance of the Chuan mrt?

Just find a condo within that stretch of yellow line and you’re sorted.

In the old days I'd have suggested Balestier Hills Primary but it shut down a few years back.

I'd suggest you look at International Community School on Jubilee Rd. That's out at West Coast Rd area and there is a lot of private housing options.
