Hi All,
Please assess my chance of getting PR approval. Thanks!

Age: 35
Race: Indian
Education 1: Diploma studied in India
Education 2: Bachelor of Science computer security (Part-time) awarded 2020( University UK) thru local private institute.
Occupation: Network Engineer
Salary: 60K
last 9 years working in the same company
Pass Type: S pass (Since 2008 December)
Been in Singapore since 2008 December
Previously PR applied - 5 times rejected
Blood Donated 20 times in Singapore. more than 20 times in India. Charity donations past 5 years monthly.
Volunteered various organizations almost 250 hours with records, another 250 hours or more no records.
Spouse: Indian, Age-30, Live in India with my daughter and son, visited here many times via visitor visa only.
Applied PR: November 2020 for the 6th time.
The previous submission to this submission Difference is Graduated Bachelor degree.

Thanks for your quick reply. Settling here has been a goal for me and my wife for over 10 years now. My family is not here because I cannot apply dependant pass to them due to my salary is Less than 6K. One of the main reasons low salary, might be working in the same company for 9 years. If I get a dependant pass I will bring them immediately here. Thanks again

think future, you have answered your own question as to why. Your low salary isn't sufficient to support a wife who is not working along with two children. As to why your salary is too low, only you and/or your employer can answer that. But I venturing to say that you salary is what is your biggest stumbling block along with being on an S pass which does not allow you to bring your family here on dependent passes. You need to work on the things that really matter. All the charity & blood donations count for naught as it has been grossly abused and once what they were trying to obtain is gotten, all charity goes out the window which just shows ICA that there was nothing charitable in it at all, as all were looking to gain something other than personal satisfaction. You need to find a better position whereas you can gain an EP and enough salary to enable you to get DPs for your family otherwise, if you apply by yourself with a family still in India does not show ICA that you have what it takes. While now having a degree will help, without the corresponding salary increment it is not really of any use. Maybe is time to put it all on hold for a couple of years until you have a better pass & corresponding salary.

You’d be close to 40 or more when you meet that criteria.

Then what. It gets even worse for the middle aged.

It’s not entirely about your career.
Theres other factors like integration and commitment. Pretty grey areas.

@SMS, If upgrading to EP is the only way to get PR, What is the point here that the govt allowed S pass holder to apply PR?

Thanks for your reply. you made a Good point. Someone expert needs to advise on this. Similar to me many S pass holders applying every day. Myself last year I paid 300SGD for PR application fees, This year I paid 400SGD for the application fee.

If your family is staying in India all the time.
No way they can get PR
But if you want to try your luck , see whether you can get a lottery. By all mean.

You can deduce that the available slots for Chinese are a lot more, Indians a lot less.

And they don’t view it entirely from the career front.

So S Pass makes the cut for some because those entry gates are wider, and fails the cut for some “others”

Basically, it's opaque to applicants and bystanders. You buys your ticket and takes your chances. They will never lay it out in an orderly fashion or publish same. They are constantly changing the goalposts based on what they need for the country. What was required 5 years ago is useless today.
