Hello,

I'm looking for your help because i can't find the informations needed about my question.

I'd like to know if it's possible to go and work in singapore as a single (so having an EP and no DP for anyone of course) and then get married in SG with a foreigner (tourist) then ask for a DP for her.
Should i need to earn at least 5000 ?
Should i need to ask for a new EP for me (with this DP attached to it) to my company ? Can they refuse ?
What would be the process to do it properly (and legally) ?

Any informations is welcome

Many thanks

Yes you can marry someone on a SVP (tourist) in Singapore and then apply for a DP. Your company typically won't refuse as there is no cost to them.

You need to earn a minimum salary of $6,000 to sponsor a DP.

And provided the person on SVP has never worked in Singapore on a WP... if they had, that would obviously be a problem (as discussed at great length on this forum).

Is it normal for companies to not pay DP fees?

My company used to cover it, but around 6 years ago they changed the policy to only cover it the first time, and subsequently it is to be paid by the employee.
