I have been seeing a psychotherapist at a private clinic for about a year's time. Now recently I found out that they will be shifting to IMH, they did tell me that I can continue seeing them in the future however that if I were to transfer my care to IMH it would be a part of my health records.

I am planning to apply for PR in the near future so I just wanted to check first if having IMH in my health records could impact my chances of obtaining a PR?

Probably not. How are you planning to apply for PR. Family ties or PTS (Professional Technical Scheme). I am curious how you are posting from a Sweden ISP though. Does your company have their servers in Sweden? I don't think, if treatment is being successful, it will be a worry. Seems the only two things they really worry about is HIV and TB (and Covid at the moment).

Tbh, you are seeking therapy, and a successful outcome can be certified by a licensed therapist.

I’ve hired a candidate who had to disclose the background to HR, with certificate of clearance from the therapist. We hired the guy (I like to give people a chance).

Hopefully PR assessment will take in consideration the overall package of your potential contribution to society as a whole, not just this aspect.

People are seeing psychotherapists for variety of reason (e.g. stress management) and often the fact that somebody decides to attend therapy sessions is an indication that this person is emotionally mature and responsible. Probably ++95% of the society is still afraid to contact a psychotherapist, psychologist or psychiatrist because they are afraid to be stigmatized. This fortunately is changing. I work for rather large corporation that is a state funded agency (so the government has a say) and our corporate insurance include both psychological and psychiatric support.

So no, unless this is something really seriously affecting your work and life*, I don't see any reason why this should be of any problem.

*) in such case one would rather see psychiatrist, sometimes psychologist and almost never psychotherapist.
