Condo pool closing hours

Hi, my
condo recently imposed closing hours on the pool and surrounding areas. While the pool used to be open 24 hours a day, it’s now only open from 7am-10pm. Wondering if this is common in other
condos? I’m used to taking late night swims, sometimes after my run at 11 or 12.

Our
condo pool closes at 10pm, I thought that was pretty late already. I’ve never heard of any being open 24hrs!

Ours used to be open 24 hours. Changed to 7am-10pm about a week ago and caused a huge uproar among residents. Perhaps we’ve gotten used to a different standard.

I see, looking at the responses 10pm seems to be the common time. Perhaps residents have taken for granted the extended hours this whole time.

Seems like that’s the standard, while most of the facilities in my
condo are 24h.

There may be a legal reason for the closure times just like the time that construction must cease in the evenings. Pool users, unless you discriminate, can be anybody and that can mean raucous noise that will disturb the rest of the pool facing units.

Right, but the uproar among residents was due to the fact that many, like myself, enjoyed taking late night swims. None of us were disruptive at all, evidenced by the lack of complaints. What I’m seeing now is that 10pm is the common closing time in other
condos, so perhaps we had all just become entitled after enjoying such a luxury for so long.

I find that whenever new
condo management comes in, they tend to become way too overzealous about everything for a few years… everything from parking exactly centered (even though the parking spot next to you is not even owned by anyone), to not having a single item outside your door because it’s fire hazard.
Then after a few years they do a complete 180 and totally don’t care about anything. The place could be burning down and I don’t think they would be bothered!
