Hi guys,

I’m new here, just want to ask for guideline.
I’m a Malaysian and I married my wife who is from china. I’m am holding EP and my wife are WP.
Some questions :
1) We already married before I work in sg. When I met her in sg. Do we need to apply for mom approval to apply for pr ? Note that we only have China marriage cert currently.

2) Can EP applying PR together with WP spouse? Because I can’t seems to find any similar cases so far. If yes, hope if anyone can provide some guideline regarding this.

1. When was the last time she worked on WP ?
2. When did you get married?
3. When did you start working on EP?

Read the guidelines again.
If you are a current or former Work Permit holder who wishes to marry a Singapore citizen or PR you must apply for approval from MOM
You were neither a SC or PR when you got married. It does not apply. (Unless there are other anecdotes that says otherwise, then feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.)

I have read about this too. But one thing do confuse me is that if I were to apply under PTS scheme together with spouse will my case consider to be same as Spouse of SC / PR scheme ? As I have read through some details regarding this somewhere.

Again, read ICA’s guidelines carefully.
As a foreigner, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residence if you are a/an:

- Spouse of a Singapore citizen (SC) or Singapore permanent resident (PR)
- Unmarried child aged below 21 born within the context of a legal marriage to, or have been legally adopted by, a SC or PR
- Aged parent of a SC
- Holder of an Employment Pass or S Pass
- Student studying in Singapore
- Foreign investor in Singapore
Are YOU a spouse of a SC or PR?

No, go to the second point.

Are YOU an unmarried child below 21?

No, go to the third point.

Are YOU an aged parent of a SC?

No, go to the fourth point.

Are YOU a Holder of an Employment Pass or S Pass?

Yes, you fulfil the criteria. You can try to apply for PR.

Now whether you can include your wife on WP is the question. Two options:

1) You try and include her in the application, let us know the outcome.

OR

2) Only you apply first and in the mean time, get your wife to upgrade herself to a S pass. IF your PR is approved, then you can apply for her.
