Singapore Expats

Hi All,
Please help me.
My husband has an EP and I will be getting my LTVP in 2-3 weeks. I have found a remote job that is not based in Singapore. As they are not based in Singapore they cannot apply for an EP for me but would be paying me as per my country of residency (India).
My question is can I work remotely from Singapore (with LTVP)?

If the company does NOT have a registered office in Singapore or deals with Singapore Clients, then not a problem. If they do have a local office or local clients, then you will need a relevant work pass. In either case, you will be liable to Singapore income taxes as you are earning the money here, regardless if it sent here or deposited to your account in India.

Sorry for the late reply but the reply from sundaymorningstaple is exactly what the MOM also told me. Later I did come also across "Dual Taxation Treaty". If I am paying tax in both the countries for the same income I need not pay again in Singapore... or something on these lines. I did not pursue this further as I am trying to get a job in Singapore and keep it simple... (fingers crossed).

You need to check with your home country's tax laws as well, but yes, you could possibly have to pay taxes in both countries, It will also depend on whether your home country has a Tax Treaty with Singapore as to how it would be handled.
