Living in older condos

Having lived in both newer (< 5 years) and older condos/homes (>15 years). Here's some disadvantages of older homes:

- Pest problems (as share by one of the posters)
Had a scare before in the air-cons and rubbish chutes!

- Lots of full renovations by neighbours, because it's old, people who buy will do months and months of renovations which means endless drilling, hackings. My whole duration of stay left me with having to put up with endless renovation noises

- Environment looks worn and tired from the interiors to the facade

- Lacking in maintenance upkeep by management (usually..) because it get too old /costly to renovate

- Leaking problems on ceiling and walls

Feel free to add on ...

Space is definitely on of the advantages..in terms of layout. Rooms are generally bigger than newer condos.

Proper helper's room.
For such, you probably need something of pre-2000 built.

I have an impression that the tennis courts are more common in the older condos
