To all women

This is a sensitive topic to talk about and yet not a foreign topic. But I do want know why women cheat on their partner (bf, husband, companion), and yes, I am a male who write this topic. I asked because some women in my circle do that. Just to be clear, not all women cheat. There are good women too. Also men cheat too, but this topic is about women.

Examples of this I'm sure we all know of. IME women cheat because in order seek validation as they are mostly duplicitous deceitful skanks who are always looking for greener grass but others may have different opinions.

Yep, you certainly are. It's obvious you have lead a very sheltered life even considering you lived in HK. 20 years of working in the Oil Industry in offshore exploration would tend to put the lie to your comment. And yes there are a fair share of Oilfield workers who are just as bad, but the vast majority are nothing but hard working stiffs who don't get to see their wives and kids for 1 or 2 months at a time and it's pretty devastating when they find out somebody else was filling up the gap while they were filling up the chequebook the wives were spending. I've known a lot. Both in the Gulf of Mexico and in S.E.Asia (where there is also yellow fever to worry about-the woman's fear). Both sides of the fence are pretty dirty if you ask me.

But if you are talking about boyfriends/girlfriends as the original female poster was trying to zero in on, I reckon its probably even odds with the last two generations who cannot even figure out what they are.

Well, I am not a young lady. I am in my 40s so I am definitely out from from Secondary School and yes, I do not read local newspaper but I do watch news on channel 5 and read other online news, some good and some are quite disturbing. Also, I actually didn't know that he was taking a piss. I was wondering, why the blue words. As mentioned in other thread, people in my circle, be it local people or expats, those who cheat usually are men and I haven't seen or heard any women who cheat on their partner.

When I read your comment about men who lives offshore and only get to see their wives and kids few times in a month or 2, it is sad to know that wife replaces him with someone else and spending his money. Probably maybe because she is lonely and miss her husband but husband is not with her. So she look somewhere else. Or she could be just a bxxxx.

But, just to be clear, my other thread about why men cheat, is about couples lives under the same roof, not miles apart.

For Japanese women, they tend to do it simply because they want to taste more than one slice of the pie (their words) over their lifetime. That’s why you see quite a few coming to SE Asia alone looking for flings. Bali and Singapore are actually two of their favorites. Japanese tend have a bit of a different culture when it comes to this kind of stuff. I used to know some local guys who would hook up with them. They told me they were into kinky and weird stuff. I even met a few of them that they’d hooked up with and you’d certainly never know or expect it from the look of them.

Where do you get the impression that they do not live under the same roof? Does a Business Man who cover S.E.Asia on his business trips live in the other cities or does he live with his wife and kids at home? I didn't say they lived anywhere other than their homes, But where they work to earn the money the wives are spending. Please read for context or ask if you don't understand. How about Ship Captains? The don't count either in your eyes? Or Military Personnel (Happens a lot to them as well).
Have you ever heard Red Sovine's "Dear John". Oh, yes I'm ex-oilfield and also ex-military. And 40 is young. (at least to me!)

What I wrote was "taking the piss" which is considerably different than that which you wrote.

What does the British idiom "taking the piss" mean?
"Taking the piss" simply means "making fun of" in its usual context. It's a very common expression within Britain, but probably rare elsewhere.

When I was divorced I foolishly was involved with a few loose women. A lot of them were cheating on their partners except for the lady I eventually married ("RED"). They also were doing it out of 'ego'.

The scenario of men go out earn money and wives spend their money and stay home taking care of the kids. 3 possibilities can happen here.
1. Men have a little fling during business trip or has another family in another town, or maybe he could be one of the rarest gem who stay committed to his wife
2. Wife cheat with some guy because husband is away, or she doesn't cheat.
3. They both cheat because they can.

But what about both of them work? Those that I know, they work and also take care the kids. Take time off during the day to pick up their kids from school and continue work after that. And yet, husband cheat. I thought they were one of the almost extinct species because they were loving husband and father. That was before I knew they cheat.

As for the ship captains, military personnels, navy and so on, I did happen to meet them years back.

Me and my friend met few navy guys who happened to stay at Singapore port for couple weeks. They took our RSVP area by mistake (according to them) and somehow we hang out together. 2 of my friends were interested with them. Long story short, after few times of hanging out and noticed something was not right, thanks to the PI skill of my friend, we found out that they were engaged/married. So, they decided not to meet them again.

I am not saying that these sailors, navy and so on are not good guys. I am sure some of them stay committed to their partner.

I am curious why men cheat and if I could have better understanding, maybe I could help my friends. If the root of the problem is due to medical, I could try and ask her to get help (without mentioning anything about the cheating part from the husband). If it is because there is no more spark, then they both really need to sit down and talk about it.

At least, do something about it.

By the way, I had a talk with my girls about this and they said if the men can cheat, so can we. Why stay committed to him if he cheats. Men can cheat for many reasons and so can we, women can cheat for many reasons too.

Regarding Japanese women, the culture is very messed up now. From the experience of my SIL, Japanese men are intimidated by successful career women, and such women are stuck with much older men who earn more than them. As such, she had a hard time finding a BF. It’s no surprise that once they get out of Japan, they may feel more liberated and likely to explore what is out there.

Japanese guys end up in a reclusive Otaku culture, with unrealistic expectations of women from anime.

That being said, it is highly known/ expected that Japanese businessmen have a proclivity to cheat with CSWs across Southeast Asia every opportunity they have…which is why we try to block any of the HQ visits to Thailand and Philippines…

No argument, there are a lot of unique things about Japan. But of course, there is still a strong conservative core, despite the trends on the fringes of society. I have several close friends from Japan because my company has a major presence there. We always have an expat or two posted to our Singapore office from Japan. I’ve also made many trips to our offices and factories there. One thing I have to say, there is a lot of diversity among Japanese, unlike here where people tend to be more predictable. I would say Japan is the only wholly developed country in Asia, and it shows in the way people self-actualize.

Once, before I went on vacation to Osaka, a Japanese lady in our SG office warned me that I might be approached by a middle aged Japanese woman looking for a hookup (apparently it’s popular thing in Osaka), and sure enough, when I was in a popular area apart from the group trying to get my bearings, one came up to me and was being very friendly, asking if I needed help finding my way.
