Singapore Expats

Hi all,

This is the scenario...

- PR approved on Feb 2023
- Own private property
- Working for an MNC with a Singapore branch
- Company needs me in US for 2 years (max 3 years) temporary job posting after which coming back to SG
- After coming back to SG, would work for same company

Under that scenario, would there be any issues renewing REP after coming back to SG?

Don't think so, you have five years after approval before you need to look into renewing again, and by then you'll be living in SG again so shouldn't have any issues.

Just checking, read a lot of "horror" stories on the forums here about minimum 3 years stay + CPF contributions in SG or REP renewal could be rejected.
