Anyone knows of other central locations where I can book a badminton court fairly easy? Besides PA.

Your question brings back memories of sitting at my computer at 11:59pm and at the stroke of midnight quickly booking the badminton court exactly two weeks in advance. That was the only way to get a slot at just about any CC near me. Within a few minutes after midnight, everything was snapped up. Not sure if they have improved this system or if the demand has changed. I remember speaking to a badminton coach about how crazy it was and he told me he would have several devices set up before the stroke of midnight to snap up as many as possible. Good luck.

One thing there is no shortage of here, is shortages of things — be it places in schools, quotas on vehicles, BTO units… this is just part and parcel of living on a small island with millions of others, scarcity is inevitable.

Maybe you can try joining some badminton playing groups on the app called Rovo. I know it's popular for booking tennis (for example: someone has a tennis court available in his condo. He creates a public event and invites people to join. Usually there is a small fee, like 2$.)). Not sure whether it would work for badminton because there are fewer condos with badminton courts.

You can find a school court to play on; it's convenient to book, the space is large, and there aren't too many people booking. Do you usually enjoy playing ball? I think I do; I usually play on the school courts so it's not too crowded.

Well. Strength in numbers. If in a badminton group, all should ballot - whoever can.

Good morning. Yes, it's very difficult to book courts these days. Booking with a credit card means you'll be booking for a date a long time in advance. These days, it's more convenient to book with schools.

My BIL who works out near Changi plays almost weekly with a group of his work kakis, so yes people still do.

I’ve always loved Badminton… played it all the time in our backyard growing up. My wife’s cousin is an Olympic/SEA Games medalist, now retired but still gets paid for sponsorships.

Why not organize one with your friends, family or office mates? There are plenty of coaches if you need to brush up on your game — our kids did that for a while.
