SG Citizenship - Stage 3

Hello Hello,

Could I request feedback from those who recently completed Stage 3 regarding the final approval letter from ICA?

According to the SGJ website, it might take a month after completing the survey for ICA to send out the final approval letter, which includes the date for oath taking and instructions for renunciation. Can anyone confirm if this timeline is accurate? Approximately, how long did you have to wait after fully completing the SG journey to receive the final letter from them?

Additionally what is the timeframe provided in the final letter to complete all other formalities, such as renunciation?

I have some things to address in my hometown so this information would be beneficial.

Thanks

For me, stages 2-3 of the process only took about a month. The long part was waiting for my former country to process the final renunciation document. That took more than a year.

thanks @jalanjalan do you remember how long it took to receive the final approval letter after completing the SGJ?

Regarding the renunciation, I'm not concerned as mine will also take over a year. However, they informed me that they would provide an acknowledgment letter which should suffice.

I don't recall exactly but I think about a week or two. I suppose it will depend on how busy they are at ICA to slot you in for oath taking. Anyway if you're eager to travel out of country, just hang in there til you have your Singapore passport.
