Hi All, anyone can give input on PR Application still in progress about 1 year 3 months now, but my passport going to expire already in June 2024 which remaining about 3 months validity only...

Should I provide my latest passport to ICA?

And what will happens if I don't provide the latest passport to ICA?

Hope someone here can give advice on this.

You MUST update ICA after you get the new one. You will never know when the pr result will be out and since yours is pending for 15months, it can even take few more months which means it can even be pending when your passport expires.

Although ICA may have other ways to know about your passport renewal, it is better you give the information from your side. You really want to test what happens when you dont update the latest passport especially when your pr is at stake? Good luck with that.

Your work visa is tied to passport and it wont look good to make yourself look like you are staying in sg with expired passport as a foreigner.

You can send an email regarding your PR application questions to:

[email protected]

As far as I know, you can also update your passport by sending them the new passport bio page to this email and making sure that you also state your application reference number.

alternatively, when you logged in to your myICA, you can check the status of your application. Down below has boxes "upload new docs, withdraw app, add child" options. I guess you can use the upload new doc option.

You are right about updating new documents in the ICA portal, but just wanted to correct you that only 4 items can be uploaded by the applicant, if one wishes like1) employment updates, 2) address change, 3) marital update and 4) Educational updates (if i am not wrong).

I dont think there is any upload new docs, withdraw app, or add child options nowadays. You can only do the things you mentioned by emailing to ica_pr. Regarding passport renewal, it is informed by emailing to ica_pr, as i did the same way after i renewed.

One other way to upload documents, is only when ica has requested you to upload that specific document. For example, if ica wants your family cv, they will enable the 'Ad-hoc' submission field and allow you to submit it once. Rest of the time, this ad-hoc submission button will be useless.

Open it in a pc browser and you'll be able to see a wide array of files that can be uploaded. I did mine this way.
