Software Salary

Hello ...I need some information about salary structure in singapore. Could some one help me find out what is the salary structure there for software engineers. If am about 4yrs experinced then can i get 5K per month.What all could be included in that salary. for example medical , labor etc.
how much in hand can i get if the salary is 5K pm.
Is 5K good or ok ok or less for 4 yrs expeience of software.
Please help me get this info guys!!

You'll be very lucky if you can even land a permanent software engineering job in Singapore these days, let alone one that pays you well.

Why dont you be specific in your terminology, I mean software in class do you fit in to because software as if now has a varity of classes.

First Singapore is not an IT place, and second hardly a place for Core C++/assembly/device drivers guys(like me
)
For the typical IT consulting java/J2EE kindof jobs, you can try, but then in general the software industry here doesn't pay much.
for 4 yrs exp 5K is just about enough to meet ends meet, i mean comfortably, if you are single, if you have a wife/family, forget it.

Things have really changed over here. It is quite alarming
