Rate PR chance for local university grad in stat board

Hi everyone,
I'm going to keep my profile as vague as possible, but would there be any increased chance for PRs (from personal anecdotes, observations, or anything) if I take up stat board jobs?
For my profile: I graduated in NUS recently (Undergraduate, Distinction) and will enroll in stat board as a Software Engineer. I was lucky enough to land this position as a foreigner and I felt like taking it up might have some positive effects. Salary wise is around what you would expect of an average CS grads from NUS, so I wouldn't go into details either. I have stayed in Singapore for nearly 7 years as of now. The critical information is that I'm not Chinese nor Indian, and would likely belong to the "Other" category - but I'm from another SEA country and I can speak Chinese to a limited extent. I have read multiple threads about this and know that this is the critical disadvantage which is sadly not going to go soon.
If not, any suggestion to increase PR chance would be beneficial! I really want to sink root in Singapore and stay here for many reasons - I love this country and the people, and have always viewed it as my second home.

Since you have done undergrad here and now working here, these factors will be seen as an advantage and these can increase your chances for PR. However, since you dont want to share too much details, you may face quota issues and if i guess i think mostly you may be vietnamese/filipino.
Right now, you can just improve your work profile to improve your pr chances and apply for it. Further along the road, it may be of higher chance, if you apply as a family after marriage.

I doubt there's any special advantage just by virtue of working in a stat board. The only advantage I can think of is ease of checking up on your employment record, which won't be a deciding factor. Don't choose the job just with PR chances in mind. However, stat boards can be great places for training/learning opportunities.

Not going to be easy, but you can still try for it.
Longer stay, working in SG along with increasing your salary will add to your benefit.

Your PR chance would be highest if you were Malaysian Chinese, then either PRC Chinese or Taiwan Chinese. It goes by the percentage of the race proportion 75% Chinese population so 75 % chance. I am told that Chinese from Hong Kong not so welcomed because they might be more problemetic, this was told to me by a neighbour who arrived from Hong Kong about 30 years ago, He told me nowadays not so easy to get in for Hong Kong Chinese.
