Hi,

We have been patiently waiting for PR decision. (Applied in May 2023). Back then we were a family of 3 (working spouse and 6 year old son). We are recently blessed with a baby boy.

Recently we have been asked to provide additional document from ICA
"A written reply whether you have intention to include you youngest child in the PR application"

Is this asked before ? I am aware ICA asking for documents like Payslips, family resume etc. but a written reply on intention is something I haven't come across yet. I have provided my response, but wanted to understand if this is a common practice or not.
I was expecting they rejecting our application and we apply again in 12 months as a family of 4.

Profile summary

Ethnicity : Indian
Stay in Singapore : 2.5 years (3 IRAS tax cycles completed)
PR Application attempt : 1st
Husband/Wife : Both on EP (combined salary 750K+ including bonus)
Age : 43 / 39
Kids : 6 yrs / 3 months

Thank you!

So do you intend to include your 3 month old?

Also, how can this be common practice - not everyone has a baby boy at the time of a PR application, and even so, most would include a newborn to their PR application by submitting additional documents.

Yes, we are absolutely fine with including our new born in the PR application if that is a possibility.
From my understanding on this forum that is not a direct option. We have to wait for an outcome from current application. and only then we can file together as a family.
Unless, my understanding is wrong.

In any case, you already have an answer, write to ICA officially. End of story.

Thank you, as I said I have already written to ICA. I simply wanted to understand the precedent on PR for new born, who aren't included in the application on day-1, considering ICA encourages to apply once current application result is out.
I got my answer this is not generic ask so will update the forum once I have some update. Thank you!
