MOM Approval For Marriage Rejected

I have applied my ex WP fiancee to MOM approval for marriage while declaring that she’s pregnant. We did not seek mom approval prior. This result in a 1 year entry ban.

Can anyone advise if i apply after one year, MOM will consider to give us approval? Or is there any way i can appeal on this decision. We honestly did not know about this rule prior.

We are both recognised degree holder. Financially i am earning well enough to support both of us and a child and more .

The MOM terms and conditions already clearly state female WP holders are:
Not get pregnant or deliver a child in Singapore during the validity of their Work Permit
You were supposed to get MOM approval to marry first, marry, then get pregnant. Not get pregnant first, then get MOM approval to marry. Doesn’t work that way.

The conditions already got violated. There is no way to go about it. You’ll have to relocate with her to her home country or another country if you want a life together.

You can search admin SMS story about his nephew who didn’t do all the above and the resulting child has to suffer.

Update on my situation.

I actually sought assistance from my MP to write in a letter of appeal. And after 1 month of waiting, my appeal is successful! Now she can enter singapore and we are able to get married !

With the news about record low TFR, the approval is probably an extraordinary exception but don’t expect it to be the norm for MOM to keep approving female WP holders who violate the T&C of their work pass.

I am not clear whether the ex-WP holder got pregnant while holding a WP… that would be a serious offense. I’d be extremely surprised if they closed one eye on that. If yes, I hope the OP can provide more details about their profile, because I imagine they would have to tick a lot of boxes.

Already answered on this page, need to scroll down a bit.
Not marry a Singapore citizen or permanent resident in or outside Singapore without MOM's approval. This applies even after their Work Permits have expired, been cancelled or revoked.

Not get pregnant or deliver a child in Singapore during the validity of their Work Permit unless they are already married to a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with MOM's approval. This applies even after their Work Permits have expired, been cancelled or revoked.
Honestly a lot of questions are answered on these Govt websites. People just don’t have the attention span to read & research nowadays and feign ignorance. *sigh*
