Bankers only like to push in-house products?

I find it rather amusing that bankers seem to push on what company tells them to sell or pushing hard on their in-house funds..Quite a conflict of interest in that sense and not recommending a product that's really worth. What platforms do you use to locate suitable funds to invest? O:)

It should come as no surprise that bankers get a commission for selling in-house investment products. My wife is an ex-banker who sold such products. For the low-information investor, it’s often an easy sell… and despite the high fees, it’s still often better than being in low yield cash.

IMO, the best source for suitable funds to invest is the Bogleheads Wiki. For non-US persons investing from anywhere in the world, they have a specific page of fund recommendations.

FYR, Bogleheads is a non-profit formed by followers of the late, great John Bogle, founder of Vangaurd and champion of low cost index funds. Investors today largely have him to thank for the lower fees we enjoy today.
